Easter

I love Easter! It has always been my favorite holiday. My mom may have something to do with that. Like everything, she always made such a big deal about easter. It was always a time to plant new flowers, decorate eggs, bring out our baskets and bunnies, and find the perfect spring easter dress. My sister and I would always get new(sometimes matching) dresses. A few years they were even complete with hats, and gloves. I loved it!
In past years, I've always loved getting Chloe all dressed up in her new dress for Easter. This year was especially exciting. I now have 2! They may be 5 years apart but they looked so cute on their first Easter debut as brother and sister.
We had a great day. After church we headed down to my mom's and had a great meal, followed by grandma's easter egg hunt. My mom always goes all out. She even color assigns eggs so each kid gets the same amount. It was a beautiful day and her yard looked amazing. Thanks Mom!

Spring Break

-

We spent our first official day of Spring Break at the beach. It was such a beautiful day. This was Steele's first day at the beach. He loved it! At first he wasn't sure about the sand but was soon eating handlfuls. The pack n play was a must. It was a Great Day and I can't wait for summer.

No Training Wheels

She did it! No more training wheels. Chloe got her new bike in August, and since then we have been asking her if she is ready to take off her training wheels. She was sure she wasn't! All of her friends were riding with no training wheels. Even most of the kids younger than her were, but she didn't budge. We stopped asking and figured she'd be ready on her own terms. She is definitely cautious like her mom.
Well, last week she was out in the cul-de-sac and comes running in to say she can ride without training wheels and she wants hers off. I think she had a little convincing from a neighborhood dad. Thanks, Micheal:) She is so excited and now wants to be on her bike all the time.

Happy Birthday Sis!

Today is my sister Amanda birthday!
I can't let this day go by without letting her know how amazing her little sis thinks she is. Growing up with her meant the world to me. There isn't much about my childhood that I remember without her in it. I wanted to be just like her and I still do. She is so incredibly talented. I don't think there is anything she can't do, or figure out how to do. She is an incredible dancer, singer, seamstris, cook, organizer(wish you lived closer so you could help me with this one),writer, artist, and contractor(yes, remodeled her own kitchen). She is such a loyal and caring friend and an amazing mother.
I hope you had a Great Bday!
I Love You!

My Blue Eyed Boy

Baking

I have recently found that I love to Bake. Chloe and I love doing it together. Her favorite thing to bake is chocolate chip cookies. She even notices when I get butter out to soften. She comes right to me asking what we are going to bake. We've done choc. chip cookies so many times together that she almost knows all the ingredients.
My mother in law used to own a bakery and is a fabulous cook. Almost all my baking recipes come from her. Her homemade rolls are one of my favorite things. So Chloe and I decided to make them for the first time and she loved it. She had her own pile of dough to do whatever she wanted with. They turned out pretty good and my floor was covered with flour. Chloe said her dough needed a lot of flour.
