Catch Up

I dont really think anyone reads my blog but I am apologizing for being so behind. I guess I need to be apologizing to myself since my hope is to use these entries as my family journal. My sister in law Jen's books are inspiring to me.
We just got back from a two day Disneyland celebration for Chloe's 8th birthday. Sadly, I noticed that only a few entries ago was Chloe's 7th birthday. So hopefully I can do a quick look back and at least post some pictures so it seems like we don't celebrate Chloe every other post. Although, she is worth celebrating!

Happy 1st Birthday Violet Rose

It is hard for me to believe that a year has gone by. It went so quick. Violet has been such a angel baby. She was so unexpected but such a Huge Gift, and our little miracle. With all my problems keeping a pregnancy it is amazing that with no early medicine or early doctor supervision she made it ( I was already close to 10 weeks when I found out I was pregnant with her). My pregnancy was one of stress but her delivery was one of the most special days Rhett and I have ever had. I feel so lucky that she came to us.
She is happy, and full of life! She rolled over when she was only a few months. Crawled at 5 and walked at 11 months. I was so wishing that she would be slower at all these and be my baby for longer. Especially since she may be our last.
Not our Vi. She always has somewhere to go. She is so busy, but always with a big smile. She loves Steele and Chloe and lights up when they walk into a room. We Love Her So Much! Happy 1st Birthday Violet!

Potty Training

This week after the bath Steele comes running to me saying "I need a diaper on." I realized he is telling me this because he needs to go, so I quickly put him on the potty. And he went! Yeah!
It got me thinking........Maybe it's time I try this. So, for the next few hours I kept him naked and he did great. I let him pick big boy underwear at the store. Diego was his choice, of course. He was so excited about them. Running all over the house with them on.
A little later as I was in the kitchen, he comes over to me and as he is talking I notice he is peeing. He is completely unphased by it. I scream and say Steele and point down. He looks at the puddle and with a shocked face says "Oh no, what happened?"
I guess this may be a little harder than I first thought. Or I just keep him naked all day.

Thankful

We had a great "Shepard Thanksgiving" Jan and Bruce came the night before and it was so fun for us to have them all to ourselves. My kids loved it. I loved seeing Jan in her element( in the kitchen) and I'm in awe. She truly loves the whole process of making a wonderful meal for her family. You can feel and taste it. Waking up to warm zucchini bread was a huge plus too.
